Age 10-14: Miniemen

In the miniemen we prepare our players for the real baseball.
We play with the real baseball rules, with some small alterations here and there to make them child sized.

A baseball game consists of a maximum of 7 innings. During an inning, the players try, one by one, to hit the ball away. When the ball is hit away, the player tries to run past the 3 bases and back to home plate as quickly as possible. If they succeed, the player has scored a run. If the player cannot hit the ball away, he is out. A player can also be made out while running. After three outs, the other team comes at bat and has a chance to score runs. After both teams have had their chance at bat, an inning is finished.

A baseball team consists of 9 players, 6 infielders and 3 outfielders. The infielders are the pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, shortstop and third baseman. The outfielders are left field, center field and right field.

Practice

Come in sports clothes and sports shoes or cleats and bring some water to drink. If you have a glove or bat, be sure to bring those as well. The rest of the equipment will be provided by the club.

Baseball is a summer sport. So during the season, we practice outdoors. Over winter, we move practices indoors.
